Pastor Scott grew up an irregular church attender. It wasn't until he moved from his native TN to Pinson, AL that he discovered Jesus. Accepting a call into ministry, he served as a youth pastor at various churches for over a decade before attending Asbury Theological Seminary and moving into pastoral ministry. After almost 20 years of serving in the Methodist denomination, God called him out into a season of rest-or so he thought. That short season of rest became a refocusing that led to the founding of Vision Church. Pastor Scott quietly battled depression most of his life, but has been set free by the grace of God. He is called to not only pastor a church, but specifically to speak into the lives of men and young men, helping them avoid the same traps that almost derailed his life. He is an avid outdoorsman, especially waterfowl hunting, and loves all sports. He is a special education teacher, coaching girls basketball and golf full time.
Sarah grew up in the home of a pastor. She fell in love with Jesus at an early age, giving her life to Jesus at age 5 and never looked back. When her days at a Christian high school ended, she chose to pursue her degree at Judson College for Women in Marion, AL. Having received a prophecy over her when she was young that she would one day become a pastor's wife, the door God opened for her to attend an all girls college was confusing for sure. But it was during her time there that she and Pastor Scott met. Sarah has always been devoted to ministry alongside her husband. She has helped lead the youth, led children's ministry, sang in choirs, started contemporary services, led praise teams, and currently leads ministries for women as well as high school girls, helping them to grow in Christ.
Scott and Sarah have two daughters, Zoe and Elsie, and are proud to call Fayette their home.
